Defend the Northwest
Defend the Northwest
FREEDOM & CONSERVATION MOVEMENT

REAL FREEDOM IS PHYSICAL.

Clean water you can drink.
Land you can grow food on.
A home you can repair.
Tools you can own.
Information you can access.
Neighbors you can trust.

A life that does not require permission from corporations, platforms, banks, landlords, algorithms, or surveillance systems.

The Pacific Northwest is home.
And home is worth defending.

9 TENETS

01

WATER IS THE FIRST FREEDOM

Clean water is life before politics. Rivers, aquifers, rain, snowpack, wetlands, and coastlines must be protected from corporate extraction, industrial poisoning, privatization, and government negligence.

02

LAND MEANS INDEPENDENCE

Access to land is access to life. Homesteading, gardening, farming, building, foraging, hunting, fishing, and local food systems are not nostalgia. They are survival skills for a fragile century.

03

DECENTRALIZE EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS

Food, water, energy, money, media, tools, housing, and information should not be trapped in the hands of a few corporations or bureaucratic choke points. Local systems are harder to corrupt, easier to repair, and closer to the people they serve.

04

PRIVACY IS A HUMAN RIGHT

A watched life is not a free life. We reject surveillance capitalism, biometric tracking, smart-city overreach, algorithmic policing, corporate data harvesting, and the quiet normalization of being monitored everywhere.

05

ACCESS TO INFORMATION IS POWER

Knowledge should not be locked behind institutions, paywalls, propaganda systems, or platform manipulation. People need open access to practical knowledge: law, land use, water rights, repair, agriculture, medicine, history, technology, and civic power.

06

OWN YOUR TOOLS, OWN YOUR LIFE

Right to repair, open-source tools, local fabrication, trade skills, analog backups, seed saving, independent media, and practical education are the backbone of real freedom. Dependency is the cage. Competence is the key.

07

KEEP LIFE HUMAN-SCALE

The future should not be a corporate machine wearing a green costume. We stand for families, neighborhoods, tribes, crews, co-ops, small farms, local shops, wild places, working people, and communities that can survive without begging permission from distant systems.

08

LOCAL ECONOMIES ARE DEFENSE SYSTEMS

A free region cannot depend entirely on distant banks, global supply chains, corporate landlords, online monopolies, and investor-owned platforms. Local markets, small businesses, barter networks, co-ops, credit unions, maker economies, farmers markets, repair shops, and independent creators keep wealth circulating close to home. Every dollar kept local is a brick pulled from the empire's wall.

09

CULTURE IS A LIVING FIRE

A place survives through memory, story, music, food, craft, language, ceremony, humor, and shared identity. The Northwest is not just scenery. It is people, tribes, workers, artists, farmers, fishers, builders, immigrants, outcasts, and families carrying history forward. We reject sterile corporate monoculture. We protect the soul of the place, not just the postcard.
